Parent Orientation Information
Welcome to the Marymount University community! We understand that this may be a new experience for you and members of your family and we are here to help. Parent and Family Orientation is a one- day event designed to provide important information and help families understand how best to assist and support students in their transition to Marymount.
Participants who attend Parent and Family Orientation will:
Develop a meaningful connection with the campus community through better understanding the history, values, and mission of the university and identifying resources that are integral to a successful student transition.
- Identify campus information and resources that support student retention, engagement, and success.
- Develop a greater understanding of their role and relationship with their student, other Marymount parents, and the university.
Parent and Family Orientation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019. There is a non-refundable $20 registration fee for participants ages 10 and older.

Residential students are expected to remain in their residence halls overnight as there will be important information shared at nightly residence hall meetings. Marymount University has reserved a block of rooms for parents and families who require lodging in the Arlington area.
