Insurance Waiver- 2018-2019 Academic Year

Marymount University believes that health insurance coverage is crucial while students pursue their studies. If a student lacks adequate health insurance, their education could be interrupted or even terminated due to an unexpected illness or injury. 

Please Note:

The Fall 2018 waiver site is now closed. The Spring 2019 waiver will  be available on 11/12/18 and will close on 2/2/19.This waiver is to be completed by all full- time students. Please contact SHS if you have any questions.

Who has to complete a waiver?

  • Undergraduate students registered for 12 or more credits
  • Graduate students registered for 9 or more credits during the fall and spring semesters
  • Please note Graduate students that are registered in the summer for 6 or more credits are considered full-time
  • Students who have a change in registration status (i.e. registered as part-time and changed to full-time)
All Students that meet the above criteria, will be identified for enrollment in the United HealthCare Student Health Insurance Plan and automatically charged for the premium of $1,231. This will be billed to your Student Account as a "line item".

If I meet the wavier criteria how can I opt out of the school's plan?
