Insurance Waiver- 2018-2019 Academic Year
Marymount University believes that health insurance coverage is crucial while students pursue their studies. If a student lacks adequate health insurance, their education could be interrupted or even terminated due to an unexpected illness or injury.
The Spring 2019 waiver site is now closed. Summer 2019 students that are interested in enrolling in our insuance plan must contact SHS. Summer student are not automatically enrolled. Please contact SHS if you have any questions.
Who has to complete a waiver?
- Undergraduate students registered for 12 or more credits
- Graduate students registered for 9 or more credits during the fall and spring semesters
- Please note Graduate students that are registered in the summer for 6 or more credits are considered full-time
- Students who have a change in registration status (i.e. registered as part-time and changed to full-time)
All fall and spring students that meet the above criteria, will be identified for enrollment in the United HealthCare Student Health Insurance Plan and automatically charged for the premium of $1,231. This will be billed to your Student Account as a "line item".
If I meet the wavier criteria how can I opt out of the school's plan?
