About ITS

Information Technology Services at Marymount University provides computing infrastructure, facilities, and support to students, faculty, and staff. ITS responds as a service provider, as a technical support provider, and as a consulting resource for many teaching and research efforts. We provide services designed to help the Marymount University community seeking technical support.

ITS units provide support for a wide variety of services and programs which support the data, voice, administrative, and academic technology needs of MU students, faculty, and staff. The current ITS organizational structure consists of 3 units, which are:

IT Support Services

IT Support Services serves teaching through technology and support. IT Support Services manages a centralized technology support phone line (ext.6990) using ticketing systems for emergency classroom technology needs; configures, installs, repairs, and upgrades PCs, Macs, printers, and other equipment; installs and tests software; sets up audio-visual equipment for events. It also manages and supports computer labs in the Main Campus, Ballston campus.

Administrative Information Services

Administrative Information Services is responsible for strategic planning, implementation, software development, and operational support of the University’s administrative applications. It also provides technical support, manages the use of Workday and Ellucian (Datatel) Colleague, and provides expertise across all institutional functional areas.

IT Infrastructure and Security

IT Infrastructure and Security provide a secure, compliant, robust, scalable, and efficient technology infrastructure and oversee the day-to-day support of all platforms. The scope of technology supported includes wireless and wired networks, servers, university-wide email and related applications, telecommunications services, television services, data wiring, and classroom audio-visual systems.
