Peer Tutoring

Peer tutoring, Writing Assistance, and EAL Support

Summer 2024 Tutoring Options

Peer tutoring sessions will not be available during the summer. Zoom and in-person peer tutoring will return in the fall 2024 semester.

Over the summer, students are encouraged to use Brainfuse, a 24/7 online system for course content tutoring and writing assistance that is free to Marymount students:

  • Students have access to 120 minutes of live tutoring per month in a variety of topics, including business, computers and technology, English, math, nursing, and science.
  • Students may submit up to 4 papers per semester for a writing tutor to review in-depth. Writing experts will respond via email with instructive feedback within 24 hours. Comments may cover a range of important areas, including voice, fluency, organization, and word choice.
  • To get to Brainfuse, log on to Canvas, open up any of your course pages, and look for “Brainfuse” in the left-hand menu of links for that course.

Questions? Please call (703) 284-1538email, or drop by the Student Academic Hub front desk in Rowley 1005.
