Build critical skills you need to solve complex managerial challenges in marketing, public policy, finance and accounting. Examine relevant legal and ethical issues as you prepare to navigate evolving stakeholder needs.

All courses are designed specifically for working professionals and are typically completed over 12-18 months. They may be taken independently or as part of Marymount’s curriculum leading to a master’s degree in Leadership and Management.

In making decisions for admission, Marymount University takes a holistic approach to application review.

Spring Enrollment: November 16th
Summer Enrollment: April 16th

  • Official transcripts of all postsecondary education including evidence of bachelor’s degree; directly to Marymount University's Office of Graduate Enrollment Services, 2807 N. Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22207, or via an online delivery system to grad.admissions@marymount.edu
  • Professional résumé

Additional Requirements for International Students:
For university coursework completed outside the U.S., an official course-by-course evaluation of your transcript is required from an evaluation agency with NACES membership such as World Education Services, Inc. or Educational Credentials Evaluators.

Students for whom English is a second language must submit a recent official score from the TOEFL of 96, IELTS of 6.5, or PTE Academic exam of 58, or documentation of program completion at one of Marymount University’s language partners (ESL, IELTS, LADO, or Mentora College).

Course Requirements

Earn your Association and Nonprofit Management Graduate Certificate in only 15 credit hours (5 courses). All courses are conveniently offered evenings and weekends at Marymount’s revolutionary new Ballston Center.

  • FIN 500 - Key Financial Concepts for Managers
  • MGT 507 - Leadership
  • MGT 585 - Global Business Management
  • MKT 537 - Marketing Strategies for Associations and Nonprofits 
  • MKT 557 - Fundraising

Minimum Grade and Course Completion Requirements

Students in this certificate program must meet the University’s academic standards for graduate students and achieve a minimum grade of B for each course required in the certificate. No course may be repeated more than once.

Title IV federal financial aid is not available for this certificate program, but private and institutional aid may be available.
