Go Baby Go Garage

Welcome to the Marymount University

In 2006, Dr Cole Galloway and Sunil Agrawal, from the University of Delaware, launched a movement to provide mobility to kids who are having trouble moving on their own. Cole began adapting toy ride-on cars to allow children to experience the freedom of being able to move around on their own. With some simple re-engineering the first Go Baby Go! car was produced and mobility was unleashed for the young benefactor.

Go baby Go! transforms the lives of children with mobility challenges by providing adapted battery powered cars and 4-wheelers to help these kids move in their environment ... just like other kids do.

At Marymount, the Doctor of Physical therapy students and faculty have opened up the Go Baby Go Garage and they have been building cars to transform lives since 2014. The team has built cars for patients in the Northern Virginia area and also was the first to build cars for patients in Costa Rica.

Go Baby Go! "Build and Grow" Events

Our Build and Grow events are multi-faceted events that bring together ALL members of the community: families, healthcare providers, policy makers, legislators, local businesses, civic organizations, volunteer groups, and corporate partners. During the event, participants share information, build sustainable plans, and build vehicles for children to “drive home” that day.

You can see more information on our inaugral "Build and Grow" event and how you can get involved in our next event here.

One of our attendees wrote this piece for their blog which captures the essence of the Build and Grow event.

Ongoing Car Builds

We will be continuing to build cars for children with mobility challenges and will be working with our clinical partners in the Arlington area to identify and assess patients who would benefit from a new car. If you are interested in talking about receiving a car for your child, please drop us an email or call us at the number below.
