How to Apply
Here at Marymount University, we try to make applying for financial aid as easy as possible. Just follow these few short steps to ensure that you get the help you need to pay for a great education:
STEP 1: Fill Out the FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid must be completed by all new and current undergraduates in order to determine eligibility for need-based federal grants, loans, and work-study programs. Marymount also uses the FAFSA to determine a student’s eligibility for need-based institutional financial aid. Use code 003724 when filling out the FAFSA to submit your information to Marymount University.
The FAFSA can be completed anytime after January 1 of the year you’re applying for admission. However, Marymount recommends that you submit a completed FAFSA before the March 1 priority financial aid deadline in order to ensure that you’re considered for all available funding.
STEP 2: Submit Scholarship Applications
Several scholarships and grants available to Marymount undergraduates require that you submit a separate application. Some awards even require additional essays, recommendations, or additional academic records. And be sure to keep an eye on priority application deadlines, which begin as early as February 1. Even though applications might be accepted after a priority deadline, there is no guarantee that there will be any funding available at that time.

STEP 3: Wait
You’ll be notified in your acceptance letter if you qualify for any of Marymount’s academic scholarships. In March, the Office of Financial Aid begins sending out official letters to undergraduate applicants detailing their scholarships, grants, loans, and other awards. Students who are accepted to Marymount after March 1 or who have been randomly selected for FAFSA verification may experience a delay in the receipt of their financial aid offers.
