MU ALERT ISSUED

June 5 - Return to Campus Update

Dear Marymount Community,

Our Return to Campus Task Force anticipates that it will be ready to distribute “Saints Reunite,” Marymount University’s guide to fully reopening campus, sometime next week. We know there have been many questions raised over what the return to campus will look like, and what steps we are taking to ensure the health and safety of everyone. We believe this guide will help put our students, faculty and staff at ease and gain confidence as we move forward in our plans.

Within the “Saints Reunite” guide will be an executive summary that highlights the key areas of our plan for student, faculty and staff re-entry, which will be presented for approval to the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SHEV). It will also contain many topics of importance for students and employees, such as public health conditions and considerations for reopening, physical distancing plans, student housing guidance, health screening and monitoring info, contact tracing and more. We appreciate your patience as the Task Force has worked diligently to develop this guide.

I wish you all a safe and relaxing weekend!

Be safe and healthy, and God bless,

Irma Becerra, Ph.D.
