June 18 - Return to Campus Update

Dear Marymount Community,
As most of our employees prepare to start the transition back to working on campus this coming Monday, I wanted to share with all of you some new resources and information that have become available online this week about issues concerning our “Saints Reunite” plan and COVID-19.
Last week, I shared a link to our 10-page draft plan that is currently under review by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). Since then, we have created a reader-friendly Campus Reopening Guidebook that provides summaries of key themes contained within the overall plan. I invite you to view this Guidebook and share it with others!
I had also mentioned last week that following our virtual town hall for faculty and staff, we were working on setting up an accessible FAQ webpage to help answer many of your frequently asked questions about transitioning back to on-site work. That is also now available on the Portal, and will be updated as we move forward with returning to campus.
We are very excited to begin welcoming our employees back to campus next week. It’s important to know that as we do so, promoting our culture of health and safety is of utmost importance. We ask that each of you be a Safe Saint as well as a Mask Ambassador by following these guidelines:

The attached infographic also summarizes safe practices and expectations for community members.

Finally, familiarity with our Campus Face Covering Policy will help ensure your smooth and safe return to campus – I encourage you to review this policy as soon as possible.
Be safe and healthy, and God bless,
Irma Becerra, Ph.D.
