Parking Services

Marymount has several parking lots and garages available for students, faculty and staff with a valid Marymount parking permit.

Rules & Regulations

  • All students parking a vehicle on Marymount University property or on an approved off-campus parking facility must read and abide by the Parking Rules and Regulations listed below.
  • All students parking a vehicle on Marymount University property must purchase parking. For individuals who choose to purchase parking, access will be linked to their Marymount ID card and parkers will need to register their vehicles with Parking Services. License plate reader software will be used for enforcement. Use of hang tags is discontinued.
  • Guests of students must adhere to all Marymount University Parking Rules and Regulations. Students will be held accountable for violations received by their guests. For details on guest parking, please contact Parking Services at (703) 908-7671 or via email at parking@marymount.edu.
  • Marymount University assumes no responsibility for items stolen or damage done to vehicles on university property. Drivers should lock their vehicles at all times.  

Parking Permits

  • Fall 2023 permits will be available for purchase on August 14th, 2023. Fall 2023 permits will expire January 20th, 2024.
  • Spring 2024 permits will be available for purchase on December 1st, 2023. Spring 2024 permits will expire May 31st, 2024.
  • Summer 2024 permits will be available for purchase on April 1st, 2024. Summer 2024 permits will expire September 1st, 2024.

    You will need a Marymount ID Card and current vehicle registration before you apply for a parking assignment.

    Purchase of a parking assignment does not guarantee that a parking space will be available. The conditions for using each type of permit are as follows:

    Commuter Students

    • Commuter students may park in the Blue Garage or the White Garage on Main Campus. Commuters may also park at the Ballston Garage located at 1000 N. Glebe Road.
    • Students may NEVER park in any reserved or visitor spot.
    • Commuters may park on Main Campus from 7am-11pm everyday.  Additionally they are restricted in the Ballston Garage to 7am-11pm Monday-Friday and from 8am-6pm on Saturday. Students should only park in the lots if they are in classes or attending a Marymount function.

    Doctor of Physical Therapy Students

    • The 4250 Fairfax Garage hours are 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. (M-F) ONLY
    • Additional parking is available until 11:00 p.m. (M-F) and 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on Saturdays at the Ballston Center garage.
    • Students may park in the Blue Garage located next to the Library or White Garage, located under Caruthers and Ostapenko Halls or at the Ballston Garage during building hours.

    Resident Students

    • Main Campus Resident students under 60 credits, in order to receive a parking assignment, must fill out an Underclassmen Parking Exception Form. Upon approval the student can receive a parking assignment by contacting the parking services office. This form is available online.
    • Main Campus Resident students over 60 credits living in the University residence halls can obtain a parking assignment for the Fall semester. The Fall 2023 parking assignment is $275.
    • Resident undergraduates with a current parking assignment may park in the Blue and White Garages. The White Garage is located under Lee Ostapenko Hall.
    • Students may NEVER park in any reserved or visitor spot.
    • Students may NEVER park in any surface lots.
    • The Rixey Resident Students may purchase monthly parking at the 1008 N Glebe Road Garage for a cost of $150/month. Rixey parking permits are not valid on Main Campus or at Ballston Center. Please contact the Rixey reception desk at: (571) 267-2879
