Our History

Marymount University Doctor of Physical Therapy program hosted the first Marymount 5K in the spring of 2015. We have attracted over 500 runners annually and raised over $20,000 each year to support our medical mission.

2019 Doctoral Hooding Ceremony

Overview:

The 2019 University Doctoral Hooding Ceremony will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 in the Converse Family Fieldhouse (Main Gym) in the Rose Benté Lee Center


The 2019 Doctoral Hooding Ceremony is a special recognition ceremony during Commencement Weekend held to signify success in completing one of the following doctoral programs: DNP, Doctor of Nursing Practice and DPT, Doctor of Physical Therapy.  During this formal ceremony, the doctoral hood is placed over the head of the graduate by the academic faculty adviser.


The Hooding Ceremony is in addition to and does not replace the Commencement exercises at DAR Constitution Hall.
