Nancy Tate, co–chair of the 2020 Women’s Vote Centennial Initiative and former executive director of the League of Women Voters of the United States, will describe what it took for women to win the constitutional right to vote. The 19th amendment to the US Constitution was ratified on August 26, 1920, after 72 years of organized effort and a fierce struggle to the very end. Learn about the Women’s Suffrage Movement, and its impact on women and the voting process over the last 100 years.
