"The Undocumented" Documentary Screening & Discussion

Friday 05:30 PM - 08:00 PM
22-Mar-2019 to 01-Mar-2019
Overview:

March 24th is the UN's International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations & the Dignity of Victims.

To commemorate this, the CGE will have a free screening of the documentary "The Undocumented" followed by a discussion led by Dr. Matt Bakker. "In the past 15 years, more than 2,000 dead migrants have been found in the vast borderlands between Sonora, Mexico and Tucson, Arizona. The film tells the story of border crossers who perished while trying to cross an unforgiving desert in search of a better life, and follows them on their long journey home."

This documentary will be a part of this year's MU Film Fest: Frontiers, Borderlands, and Westerns and pizza will be provided.

Make sure you stop by Ireton Lawn during the day as well where we will have more information on what this day commemorates and ways to get involved with the Saints' Center for Service. Make sure you stop by.

Location: MC, Reinsch Auditorium
