The Office of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness (PIE) was created in May 2006 to bring under one roof Marymount’s institutional research, learning and administrative assessment, and strategic planning activities. This office provides data and analyses on student enrollment, retention, and graduation, as well as the University’s faculty and staffing. PIE actively facilitates and promotes the use of Marymount’s administrative database and the information it holds.
The office is responsible for managing the assessment processes by which the University understands and improves the student experience, and administers the University-wide surveys of students, alumni, and employees. In addition, PIE staff members are responsible for reporting of official student, faculty, and staff data to the U.S. Department of Education, the State Council for Higher Education in Virginia, and other external and internal requestors.
On this website, most standards reports are posted. These reports, however, only provide a glimpse of the material available. Students, faculty, staff, and those in the larger community are strongly encouraged to contact this office for more information as you explore Marymount!
