Dr. Adam Kovach has taught Philosophy and Humanities courses at Marymount since 2004. A philosopher with broad interests, he has published articles on theories of truth, the nature of emotions, and the ethics of belief. He is also a past recipient of a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for research in metaphysics and the philosophy of mind.

He is a co-director of the graduate program in Literature, Language, and the Humanities. His graduate seminars provide students with a philosophical foundation for graduate study in the humanities, through close readings of seminal texts of Western philosophy.

Dr. Kovach is vice president of the Virginia Philosophical Association.
