Biography

LaTisha Winston is a native of Washington, D.C. She has over 20 years in the Fashion Industry as a Senior Technical Designer. She has worked for several apparel brands for example: Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour, Ralph Lauren, Jones New York, Nautica, Macy’s, and Phillip Van Heusen to name a few. 

After more than a decade working for other designers in New York, LaTisha decided to make a dramatic change in her life and in 2010 she returned to her hometown of DC to start her own business “Keeping You in Stitches”. KYIS focuses on fashion business consultant, and fashion education. In 2012 & 2013, LaTisha was awarded a federal mini-grant to start a “”Joi- Keeping You in Stitches foundation”” a fashion/sewing program targeting the Ward 8 Washington DC Community. “”Keeping You in Stitches”” is a program that teaches individuals body shape awareness/confidence building skills through the use of fashion and sewing. LaTisha is currently a fashion mentor to the District of Columbia Fashion Incubator (DCFI) at Macy’s and the DC Fashion Foundation.
