Dr. Michelle Liu is an assistant professor of information technology at Marymount University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in textile engineering with a foreign trade minor from China, and a Ph.D. in information systems from Boston University.
Her research interests include the uses and impacts of emerging technologies on social activities and behaviors. Her teaching areas include software engineering, database technology, electronic document and records management, and mobile app development.
Dr. Diane Murphy is a professor of Information Technology at Marymount University and is the program Chair for the Information Technology, Data Science, and Cybersecurity programs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, a master’s degree in library and information studies, and a Ph.D. in information science from the United Kingdom. Before joining Marymount in 2001, Dr. Murphy was an entrepreneur, forming and managing two companies, one in software development and the second in corporate training.
Her research interests include cybersecurity (including insider threats), healthcare informatics, supply chain security, and diversity in the technology workplace.
