IMPORTANT TAX INFORMATION

Reporting Update

Under the new federal law beginning calendar year 2018, Marymount University began reporting the “payment received” for your Qualified Tuition and Related Expenses (QTRE) in Box 1. There will not be any amount in Box 2. .

In previous years, your 1098-T included an amount in Box 2. This amount represented the Qualified Tuition and Related Expenses (QTRE) that was “billed” to your student account for that calendar year. Marymount is not required to report billed amount in Box 2 beginning calendar year 2018.

Marymount University is unable to provide individual tax advice, but if you have questions, please seek the counsel of an informed tax preparer or adviser.
