Freshman Scholarships Starting Fall 2019
Marymount University offers a variety of scholarship opportunities to help freshman students meet the costs of their education. The Net Price Calculator is a tool designed to help you estimate your financial aid options for MU, which may include the following:
Freshman Academic Scholarships
Scholarship qualifications for the class of 2023:
Eligible full-time freshman applicants are automatically offered the highest scholarship they qualify for from the list below.

- The Marymount Presidential Scholarship is a $16,000.00 annual award.
- The Marymount Dean Scholarship is a $14,500.00 annual award.
- The Marymount Success Scholarship is a $13,500.00 annual award.
- The Marymount Achievement Scholarship is a $12,500.00 annual award.
- The Marymount Opportunity Scholarship is a $10,000.00 annual award.
All five academic scholarships are renewable for up to four years of study, provided you maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of (at least) a 2.5. In order to receive priority consideration for these awards, your application for admission and supporting documents should be submitted no later than March 1. Please note that no student may be awarded more than one of these scholarships.
Marymount Visit Grant
Prospective first-year students who make an official visit to Marymount after July 1 and before May 1 of their senior year of high school are eligible to receive a one time $500 grant. The $500 grant will be applied to your first tuition bill.
Early Action Scholarship
Students who apply and are accepted during the Early Action period are eligible for a $1,000 Scholarship in addition to other merit awards. This award is renewable for up to four years of study.
Marymount Residential Grant
This $3,000 grant is offered to all full-time applicants living in US states and the District of Columbia who stay in campus housing during their time at Marymount. It is renewable for up to four years of study, provided the applicant stays in on-campus housing
The Refer-a-Saint Scholarship is a referral-based benefit for current students and applicants. If a current Marymount student has referred you and you are applying to start at Marymount in the Fall 2019 semester or later, you may complete this referral form
to be eligible for receiving a one-time $500 scholarship upon enrollment. Your referrer is also eligible to receive a one-time $500 credit on their student account.
Catholic High School Scholarship
This $2,000 tuition scholarship is automatically offered to full-time freshman applicants who have graduated or will graduate from a Catholic high school. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years of study, provided the student maintains good academic standing at Marymount.

Enrolling students who are related to a Marymount alumnus are eligible to receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years of study, provided the student maintains good academic standing at Marymount.
Honors Program Scholarship
Freshmen admitted to the Marymount University Honors Program may be eligible for an additional scholarship award. Admission to the program is very competitive. Applicants should have a 3.5 high school GPA and a 1270 SAT or 27 ACT composite score is preferred. Also, all Honors Program applicants must submit a letter of recommendation specific to their Honors application.
The Honors Program has strict application deadlines and must be completed by:
- November 11 - Spring and Fall Entry
- January 13 - Fall Entry
- March 8 - Fall Entry

Tuition Exchange Scholarships
The following guidelines are applicable to students who wish to attend Marymount University as tuition exchange (TE) scholarship students:
TE scholarships are for tuition expenses only for students who are enrolled full time in undergraduate education at Marymount University. Qualified applicants must be first-time, first-year freshmen. TE scholarship funds are for the fall and spring semesters only. Merit scholarships will not be awarded on-top of TE scholarships.
Certificate of Eligibility for TE Scholarships
All students wishing to be TE scholarship recipients at Marymount must be certified as eligible "exports" by their host institutions.

TheDream.US Scholarships for students with DACA and TSP status
Marymount University has recently signed a partnership with TheDream.US
, the nation's largest college access and success program for DREAMers.
This new partnership enables incoming Marymount DREAMers to apply for the TheDream.US’s National Scholarship.
Please know the scholarship recipients are chosen by the TheDream.US, not by Marymount University. Your application and acceptance to Marymount University are separate from your application for theTheDream.US National Scholarship.

Eligibility and How to Apply
- The National Scholarship is for first-time college students or community college transfer students intending to start at Marymount University in the Fall 2019.
- Up to $29,000 for first-year students to be applied towards the four-year study at Marymount University.
- Up to $15,000 for transfer students form community colleges to be applied during the remaining time at Marymount University.
- Marymount’s merit-based scholarships can still be applied towards your Marymount education if awarded a TheDream.US scholarship.
