The Center for Global Education hosts educational workshops and discussions for MU faculty and staff throughout the academic year in order to promote professional development and advance international education at Marymount University. All faculty and staff are welcome. No RSVP required.

Faculty Round Table Discussion: Defining Global Learning at Marymount University 

Wednesday, March 7th, 2018, 3:00pm – 4:00pm, Library Instruction Room 

Faculty and staff are invited to participate in this round table discussion on defining the future of global learning at Marymount University. Using the AACU Global Learning Rubric as a guide for the conversation, we will discuss what global learning looks like for the Marymount community, both inside and outside the classroom. 

Exploring International Faculty Development Opportunities

Monday, March 26th, 2018, 3:00pm – 4:00pm, Gomatos Information Literacy Room

In order to foster global learning and engagement at Marymount University, we know it is important for our faculty to take advantage of international development opportunities. In this session, the Center for Global Education will present information on Fulbright Programs, international fellowship and research opportunities, global conferences, and other short-term travel grants. 

Developing a Short-term Faculty-Led or Global Classroom Series Program 

Wednesday, April 18th, 2018, 3:00pm – 4:00pm, Library Instruction Room

Have you considered developing and leading a Short-term Faculty-Led or Global Classroom Series Program for 2020? In this session, the Center for Global Education will present the process and timeline for submitting a program proposal, identifying international partners, and developing the international field experiences that are a part of your course.
