Writing Track

Writing is a fundamental skill in today's world, and the writing concentration will help prepare students for professional careers and/or graduate education in a variety of fields. The courses develop students' persuasive, stylistic, creative, and analytical skills through an examination of the characteristics of successful writing, along with the implementation of successful writing strategies in multiple modes and genres.

  • EN 200 Approaches to Literary Study (3)
  • Three (3) credits selected from the following survey courses:

    • EN 230 American Voices
    • EN 231 Literature of the British Isles
  • EN 211 Principles of Language (3)

  • Three (3) credits in Advanced Literature (LT-2)
  • Twelve (12) credits in English and/or Communication writing electives
  • Three (3) credits in support skills electives in digital publishing electives
