Applied IT allows students to tailor their program of study with IT courses that may be in more than one other specialty (for example, IT320, Structure of Programming Languages from the Computer Science specialty, IT 385, Managing Big Data from the Data Science specialty). Students may also transfer up to 4 courses (IT 900) from another institution.
All IT majors take coursework that builds on the foundation provided by the Liberal Arts Core and IT core. A specialty allows student to tailor their IT degree to fit their individual interests and goals.
Applied IT Specialty Requirements
- Five (5) courses representing an IT application area that have been approved by the program director, including up to 4 courses (IT 900) transferred from another eligible institution.
