Christine StuppyMs. Christine Stuppy was appointed as the Executive Director, Office of Strategic Planning and Analysis on October 3, 2016. In this role, Ms. Stuppy will provide leadership and oversight to VHA’s strategic planning efforts, direct analytic studies for local and regional components of VA’s health care system, provide technical guidance on matters relating to capital asset policy, and assure the completion of survey analyses and resulting recommendations for various VHA programs.
In addition, she will be an advisor to key VA and VHA leaders at headquarters on planning, analysis and enterprise coordination, she will also support Network and Medical Center Directors in assessing opportunities for improvement to health system design in local markets, states, Veterans Integrated Service Networks, VA Districts and Department-wide initiatives.
Prior to joining VHA, served as Vice President for Strategic Planning Community Division, National Capital Region for Johns Hopkins Medicine, and is a seasoned professional with extraordinary leadership and strategic planning experience demonstrated over the past twenty years Previous to her regional Hopkins role, Ms. Stuppy served as Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Planning at Sibley Memorial Hospital, now a member of John Hopkins Medicine.
Earlier in her career, Christine served in accounting, budgeting, reimbursement and managed care roles at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, and Medstar Health in Washington, DC. She received her B.S. in Business from the University of Minnesota as well as her MBA from Drexel University.
