Applied IT allows students to study computers in the context of a specific application area, such as biology or education. Students select and complete a program of study that reflects their area of application, as approved by the IT program director. Students are encouraged to participate in campus activities in both fields. If available, students should pursue a minor in their applied subject area.
All IT majors take coursework that builds on the foundation provided by the Liberal Arts Core and IT core. A specialty allows student to tailor their IT degree to fit their individual interests and goals.
