Business Law

The Business Law specialty is designed to provide a general understanding of the laws that impact businesses and business relationships. Law courses are taught by licensed attorneys, who bring real-time expertise into the class setting. In addition, the Business Law specialty builds a basic foundation for students interested in pursuing an advanced legal degree.

Business Law Specialty Requirements

  • LA 280 Introduction to the Legal System
  • LA 430 Current Issues in Employment Law
  • MGT 485 International Management or MGT 385 International Business
  • Take three (3) courses from the following: LA 250 Legal Aspects of Health Care; LA 302 Criminal Law; LA 315 Sport Law; LA 408 Real Estate Practices; ECO 353 Law and Economics, or other courses approved by the faculty advisor. 

Business Law minor is open to students pursuing a degree other than the B.B.A. or B.A. in Paralegal Studies. It provides students with a general understanding of the laws that impact businesses and business relationships. Law courses are taught by licensed attorneys, who bring real-time expertise into the class setting.

  • Two (2) courses from the following: LA 302 Criminal Law; LA 315 Sport Law; LA 408 Real Estate Practices, or other courses approved by the business law minor faculty advisor.
