Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy

Earn a doctoral-level degree from our top-tier Physical Therapy program with our online transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (tDPT) degree.* This program is designed to advance Physical Therapists who are actively practicing in the United States to the doctoral level. Our affordable online format allows you to complete the program from virtually anywhere so that you don't have to sacrifice your schedule or budget.

Our innovative, best-in-class tDPT curriculum is taught by nationally recognized clinical faculty and is strongly rooted in evidence-based practice. As a Marymount tDPT student, you will be connected to a diverse online community of experienced PT clinical professional peers. Through completion of our comprehensive curriculum you will acquire the advanced critical thinking skills and professional knowledge and behaviors necessary to excel in the science and art of physical therapy. Program graduates are not only entitled to the doctorate designation, but will be better prepared to become leaders in physical therapy.

We offer both a Masters to DPT (20 credits) and a Bachelor to DPT (30 credits) that fulfill the doctorate guidelines established by APTA.  Most students complete the program in 1-3 years.  The program is open to Physical Therapists currently practicing in the United States.
