Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy

Are you ready to take your Physical Therapy education to the next level?

Earn your Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from a top-tier Physical Therapy program through our online transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (tDPT) degree.* In partnership with Rehab Essentials, a leader in online Physical Therapy education, this fully online program is designed for US licensed physical therapists who hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in physical therapy and desire to transition their academic credential to the DPT. This affordable online degree allows you to complete the program from virtually anywhere so that you don't have to sacrifice your schedule or budget.

This innovative tDPT curriculum is taught by nationally recognized faculty and is strongly rooted in evidence-based practice. As a Marymount tDPT student, you will be connected to a diverse online community of experienced professional peers. Through completion of this comprehensive curriculum you will advance your critical thinking skills and professional knowledge and behaviors necessary to excel in the science and art of Physical Therapy.

Marymount’s tDPT graduates will not only earn the doctorate designation, but will be better prepared practitioners who are equipped to become leaders in Physical Therapy.

We offer both a Masters to DPT (20 credits) and a Bachelors to DPT (30 credits) program that fulfill the guidelines established by APTA for such a transition.  Most students complete the program in 2-3 years.

For more information about the transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy program, please visit the website of our partner, Rehab Essentials or contact Jonathan Scheeler, tDPT Coordinator at 720-507-8333.

*Starting in August 2020 (pending SACS-COC approval). CAPTE does not accredit transitional or post-professional DPT programs.
