What time does the race start?

Answer

Race begins at 9:00 AM, same day packet pick up starts at 8 AM. Early packet pick up is at 4-7 pm, Friday, April 13, 2018 at MedStar NRH Rehabilitation Network, Ballston-Marymount at 4040 Fairfax Dr. (located on the corner of Fairfax Drive and N. Randolph Street)

Where is there available parking?

Answer
Parking is available in the MU Ballston Center garage and on the neighboring streets, we will have volunteers on site to direct parking. Racers may also ride the MU shuttle (free of charge) from the Ballston Metro.

Can I register on race day?

Answer
Yes, race day registration is available for $50 - exact change and checks are preferred. On-site registration will begin at 8:00 am.

Will there be a bag check?

Answer
Bag check will be available on site.

What will post race party include?

Answer
Post-race party to include craft beer (21 and older with valid ID), live band, and service project preparing bagged meals for Arlington Street People's Assistance Network (ASPAN).
 

Where is the race located?

Answer
The race will start and finish at Marymount University's new Ballston Center located at 1000 North Glebe Road, Arlington, Virginia.
 

How long does it take to complete the course?

Answer
Your finish time will depend on your athletic ability. Top times may be in the low teens. Most people finish within 40 minutes.

What does registration include?

Answer
All participants will receive Marymount 5K shirt, pint glass, and admittance to the official Marymount 5K post-race party at Saint City to include a drink ticket, complimentary food, and family entertainment. Participants must register by April 1st to be guaranteed a t-shirt. After April 1st, t-shirt availability is not guaranteed.

Is there a space for spectators?

Spectators will be welcome to wait for their runner at the finish line in Saint City or anywhere along the course.

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

Unfortunately, all registrations for this event are non-refundable.

Can I transfer my registration to another runner?

Answer
No, due to insurance and liability requirements, each new runner must complete a new registration.

What is the minimum age to participate?

Answer
All ages are welcome to participate. Anyone under 18 will need the consent of a parent or guardian. Minors (12 and under) will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the course. No strollers or baby joggers are allowed on the course.

What happens if it rains?

Answer
The race will not be cancelled for rain!

Can I still register?

Answer
Yes, race day registration is available up to 48 hours prior to the race online, or in person at MU Ballston Center on Race Day (cash or check, please).
