Social Entrepreneurship

This interdisciplinary minor is open to students in any major. It is designed for students who are socially minded entrepreneurs wishing to develop skills in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Students analyze social issues in today’s global economy and learn how to apply business skills to address those issues, thereby fostering change. Students will be required to complete a community-based project of inquiry for their final project.

This minor provides students with the opportunity to develop their sense of civic responsibility and business prowess to address social issues through enterprise.

The Social Entrepreneurship minor allows students to take courses in both the School of Business Administration and School of Education and Human Services. This minor also provides a strong base for future additional studies in business, sociology, education, and law.
