Library Technology

Public Computers

  • Public computers with Microsoft Office, photo-editor software, multiple internet browsers, LockDown Browser, audio/video software, DVD/CD-burning software, and tools to access all of the library’s electronic resources.
  • Check out a laptop and charger for four hours at the Reinsch Library or the Ballston Coakley Library Extension. Laptops may be taken out of the library, but they must be returned to the same location. See Technology Device Circulation Policy for details.
  • Several iMacs with Adobe Creative Suite software at the Reinsch Library and two iMacs at the Ballston Coakley Library Extension.

Public Printing and Copying

  • Printing to WEPA kiosks from all public computers.
  • Photocopier on the first floor of Reinsch Library and at the Ballston Coakley Library Extension.
  • A microfiche/film reader on the lower level of Reinsch Library.

Other Equipment

  • Scanners in the reference area on the first floor.
  • TV equipped with VCR/DVD player on the lower level.
  • LCD projector in the MakerSpace on the second floor.
  • LCD monitor in Group Study Room 210 on the second floor.
  • Wireless access available throughout the Reinsch Library building and at the Ballston Center.
  • Check out power strips, USB drives, and iPhone 4 chargers at the circulation desk. Use the device charger station on the first floor. See Technology Device Circulation Policy for details.
