Information for Students

Ticket Information

  • Each student will receive six tickets. 
  • Undergraduate tickets must be picked up at the Office of Student Affairs in Gerard Hall.
  • Graduate tickets  must be picked up in either the Office of Academic Affairs or in Physical Therapy, 2nd Floor, 4040.

Ceremony Information

  • Students must be at Constitution Hall 1 hour prior to the ceremony to line up.

Saturday, May 20th: Graduate Ceremony

  • 2pm Student line-up
  • 3pm Ceremony

Sunday, May 21st: Undergraduate Ceremony

  • 2pm Student line-up
  • 3pm Ceremony
Prior to your ceremony, students are encouraged to read Important instructions and procedures for Check-In, Line-Up and Procession which can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions on the Commencement Page.

All graduating students should plan to remain in their seats until Commencement has concluded. Leaving before the ceremony has ended is disruptive and disrespectful of others.

DAR Constitution Hall Regulations

There are rules and regulations established by our host, Constitution Hall, over which Marymount University has no control. You are asked to comply with these to ensure a successful event for everyone. Ushers provided by Constitution Hall will see that these regulations are strictly enforced.
  • Tickets are required for all guests.
  • Children 3 years of age and older must have a ticket to enter.
  • Graduates and faculty must have academic attire to be admitted.
  • The Hall will be closed to visitors once the ceremony begins.
  • Professional photography is provided; thus no cameras are permitted.
  • Videotaping can be done only from designated areas.
  • Guest seating in the Hall will not be available before 2pm for each ceremony.  No early entrance is permitted.

Commencement Photos

Photos of your special day may be ordered online from GradImages.   Selfies or other cell-phone photography while on the stage is prohibited.

Commencement Shuttle Schedule

Complimentary shuttle service to Commencement Ceremonies at DAR Constitution Hall will be provided for students, families and guests on both Saturday, May 20th and Sunday May 21st
  • Shuttles will begin running at 1:00 p.m. each day
  • Shuttle departure and return will be located in front of the Main House.
  • Shuttles will run on a continuous loop from Main Campus to DAR and back until 3:00 p.m.
  • Service will resume at the conclusion of each ceremony with departure from DAR on 18th Street for return to Main Campus.
  • The last shuttle will depart DAR Constitution Hall at 6:00 p.m.  

Access Services

Commencement guests who need special seating arrangements due to a disability or health condition (i.e., seating near an exit, sign language interpreting) must complete a Guest Accommodations Request Form.  Forms can also be picked up located in Academic Affairs, Center for Teaching and Learning, or Student Affairs.
