Recognition Day 2018

Saturday, May 19th at 10:30am in the Rose Benté Lee Center, Main Gym

The Recognition Day Awards Ceremony celebrates the achievements of the graduating class, both at the undergraduate and graduate level. The ceremony includes blessing and investiture of the academic hoods, presentation of the Draghi Outstanding Faculty Award, Academic Excellence Awards, Senior Leadership Awards, and medal awards.  More information on each award can be found on the Commencement Awards Page.  The awards ceremony follows the Commencement Mass.

Immediately following the ceremony, graduates and their guests are invited to the President's Reception in the Gerard Phelan Dining Hall.

Can I bring guests to the ceremony?

Yes, friends and family are welcome at this ceremony and at the President's Reception immediately following.

Do I need to wear my cap and gown?

Caps and gowns are required for all graduates participating in the Recognition Day ceremony.  Please carry your hoods for the blessing and investiture.

Are tickets required?

No tickets are required for this event.  Family and friends are welcome to attend.

What time should I arrive?

Students should arrive in the Lower Rec Gym by 10am to line up for the processional.  The ceremony begins at 10:30am.

Where do I park?

Parking is available in both the Blue and White garages off Yorktown Blvd. (Corner of Yorktown and 26th Street)

How do I know if I was nominated for an award?

All award nominees will be notified via their Marymount email after the nomination submission deadline.

Is this event required?

The award ceremony is not required, but we encourage all members of the graduating class to attend and celebrate the achievements of their classmates.
