Wayne Hoffman's show "Mind Candy" is a highly interactive presentation that combines mind-reading and visual illusions. Every moment of the show involves individual audience members being selected to take part in bizarre experiments and often the entire audience is involved in large-scale mind-over-matter demonstrations.

Need some last-minute items before the school year begins? The Student Government Association will be sponsoring bus trips to the local Target. Pick up school supplies you're missing or items to complete your room! Buses will leave at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30 pm. The bus pick-up at Target to return to campus will be at 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm.

Come for a brief demonstration of the fall exercise classes including Ashtanga Yoga, Core and More, and Zumba. Each demonstration will be approximately 10 minutes. Additionally, take a look at the new library of workout videos that will be available for checkout, including P90X, Insanity, Asylum, Interval Training, and Turbo Fire. Lastly, provide feedback about resources you'd like to see and what should be included in the spring semester Health Fair.

This free annual festival from 1 to 7 p.m. features live blues by outstanding local and national artists.

Visit the Art Show in the Spanish Ballroom from noon to 6 pm on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The event will include a wide variety of Irish musicians and dancers in Glen Echo Park's Bumper Car Pavilion.

The Kennedy Center, Washington, DC
The Kennedy Center hosts more than 25 local theater companies in a series of free readings and open rehearsals of plays and musicals. This three-day event gives audiences a look at new works being prepared for Washington premieres in the 2011-12 theater season.

The Mass of the Holy Spirit brings the entire Marymount community together in prayer and thanksgiving as we begin a new academic year. To facilitate student and faculty participation, morning classes will be dismissed at 11 a.m. and will resume at 2 p.m. No other events will be scheduled during this time. A campuswide lunch will follow.

Service opportunities will include groundskeeping and making home repairs, working with mentally disabled adults, spending time with senior citizens, helping at a crisis pregnancy center, and more! You will also learn about ongoing volunteeer opportunities and special service events during the year. A barbecue on campus will end this rewarding day.
