The demands and expectations of school, work, activities, and relationships can become overwhelming.
The Counseling Center is where students can talk privately with a licensed counselor in a nonjudgmental, confidential atmosphere about their concerns. Personal counseling helps students to identify and solve problems, increase self-understanding, improve academic performance, adjust to college, and develop and maintain relationships. Counseling Center staff members can also
consult with faculty and staff and with
parents and friends who are concerned about a student in distress.
The Counseling Center's services are free and confidential. Except in situations of potential harm to oneself or others, no information about a student is shared with anyone outside the Counseling Center without that student’s written permission. Counseling Center records do not become part of a student’s academic record.
The Counseling Center offers
individual counseling,
group counseling,
outreach activities,
crisis intervention, and
consultation to faculty and staff and to
family and friends, and can direct you to
online self-help resources and
screenings.
