If the assistant director determines that a violation may have occurred, the assistant director will send an e-mail to the student(s) involved explaining that the Office of Campus and Residential Services received a report alleging he/she may have been present during a violation of University policy. The e-mail will provide a time/date and location of a hearing and list of charges or instructions on how to schedule a hearing.
When the student visits the Office of Campus and Residential Services, a hearing is scheduled with a hearing officer. The student is given a letter that lists the date, time, location of the hearing, and the hearing officer’s name. The letter will also state the provisions of University policy that have been allegedly violated.
At the hearing
, the student will be able to share his/her side of the incident.
