Bridget Murphy’s expertise in graphic design includes integrated marketing campaigns, print publications, poster design, logo design, business-to-business graphic design, and environmental graphics.
She has worked in the design industry for more than 25 years and continues to be involved in visual communications as an art director and project manager for select clients and nonprofits. She has made several presentations at conferences on topics such as “Environmental Design Project: A Point of Inspiration” and “Literary Arts Web Site Unites Print, Production & Collaboration.” Her environmental design project won a Graphic Design USA 2009 American Inhouse Design Award.
Murphy also serves as chair of the Graphic Design and Fine Arts Department and continues to explore the relationship between the professional visual communicator, studio artist, and professor. She is active in community service and brings real-world projects to the classroom. She has been part of Marymount’s faculty since 2001.
She is faculty advisor to the award-winning blueInk, Marymount’s literary arts magazine, and an advisor to MU’s Graphic Design Club and student research projects.
