Dr. Skye Donovan has been part of Marymount’s faculty since 2008. Her areas of practice include orthopedics and obesity management in adolescents and adults. Dr. Donovan has a very active research agenda with her primary focus on childhood obesity management.
Dr. Donovan is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Dr. Donovan also as a member of the obesity group of Healthier Arlington, a community project dedicated to promoting wellness and disease prevention.
She has presented her research at national meetings (APTA, ACSM and Arthroscopy Association of North America) as well as being published in a variety of peer-reviewed rehabilitation and health care management journals. Dr. Donovan was an invited speaker at the California Physical Therapy Annual Conference in addition to sponsoring a pre-conference course at the APTA Annual Conference in 2008. She has recently authored a chapter on tissue healing in the text Orthopedic Clinical Advisor.
