Franklin joined the Marymount University faculty in 2012, having previously
taught at Biola University and the University of California, Riverside.He has published a variety of articles on
free will and moral responsibility that explore questions concerning the nature
of free will and moral responsibility, the relationship between free will and
(in)determinism, and the ethics of blame.
His current research projects address questions about the relationship
between conceptions of freedom and conceptions of the self, the nature of the will,
and the ethics of forgiveness and blame.
