Dr. Michele C. Garofalo, LPC, NCC, has worked as a school counselor at the elementary and middle school levels in both independent and public schools. She consults with area schools on a variety of school-related topics and mental health issues. Dr. Garofalo is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has maintained a private practice where she worked with adolescents and families.
She teaches School Counseling courses and provides supervision for School Counseling practicum and internship students. Her research interests include adolescent stress, character education, counselor training and supervision, ethical and legal issues, and bullying.
Dr. Garofalo founded the Mu Upsilon Gamma chapter of the Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society at Marymount University and served as its faculty advisor for eleven years.
