Dr. William Hodson has been on the faculty of the Marymount University School of Business Administration since August 1999. He arrived after serving seven years on the faculty of the National Defense University, where he was the chair of the Information Technology Department of the IRM College. Prior to that, Dr. Hodson served as the chair of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department of Regis University's International Program in Denver. He has also taught in the graduate colleges of both the University of Colorado and the University of Maryland. While on active duty in the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Hodson served for 11 years in the Mathematical Sciences Department of the U.S. Air Force Academy.

In addition to his university teaching background, Dr. Hodson is an accomplished practitioner in operations research and systems analysis, with special interests in computer modeling and simulation, information systems technology, quantitative decision-making, optimization, artificial intelligence and modern Web-based educational technologies. He has used these skills in consulting for both public and private sector organizations, as well as for Marymount University.
