Resolution of a Report

Upon receipt of a report, the University will take prompt and effective action by: providing interim remedies and support for individuals who make a report or seek assistance under this policy conducting a review of the conduct under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; addressing the safety of individuals and the campus community; and as warranted, pursuing resolution through remedies-based measures or formal disciplinary action against the accused individual. The policy provides specific procedures for investigation and resolution based on the role of respondent (student, staff or faculty).

Regardless of whether a complainant chooses to pursue disciplinary action, the University will take interim measures to protect the parties involved and ensure that all safety, emotional and physical well-being concerns are being addressed. The University will not tolerate retaliation and will take immediate and responsive action to any report of retaliation or any violation of protective interim measures.
