Larry manages the Reston Center and oversees outreach to area businesses, government agencies, and community organizations to develop partnerships for customized educational programs. He joined Marymount in 2011.
Previously, Larry was director of graduate marketing and admissions at McDaniel College. He also has broad experience in public broadcasting, serving as director of communications for Maryland Public Television and earlier, New Hampshire Public Television, as well as communications manager for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in Washington, DC.
Director of Services & Operations
Serving the community as the director of services & operations, Alison utilizes the skills and experiences she has gleaned during her time serving campuses across Virginia.
Alison came to Marymount from Sweet Briar College, where she served the campus as the director of residence life. Prior to that, Alison served the Virginia Tech community as an area coordinator, where she oversaw a residential population of 2,200 students and more than 70 staff members in nine residence halls. Alison also held the following positions at Tech: complex director, graduate hall director, and community advisor. Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics from Hollins University. She has Master of Education from Virginia Tech in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with a concentration in higher education and student affairs.
Stephanie HinnenkampRecruitment & Admissions Coordinator
Stephanie manages the recruiting and admission of undergraduate and graduate students at the Reston Center, including Marymount's Educational Partnership
programs. She assists and counsels prospective students through the inquiry, application and enrollment processes.
Prior to joining Marymount University, Stephanie served as admissions counselor for Saint Peter’s College, public relations and admissions coordinator at The Katharine Gibbs School, Inc. and public relations specialist for Kelly Michener Advertising. Additionally, Stephanie is a certified paralegal with law firm experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from James Madison University and paralegal certification from George Mason University.
During her spare time, Stephanie enjoys playing tennis, running and skiing with her husband and four children.
Business Programs Advisor, Reston Center
Robin advises undergraduate Business Administration students, as well as prospective transfer students. She also supports graduate students at the Reston Center in conjunction with faculty advisors.
Prior to joining the Reston team, Robin served as a curriculum development specialist for George Washington University and also has experience in career services. She has previously worked with business and public policy students. Robin has a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies from James Madison University. Prior to working in the field of higher education, Robin served as a teacher at the K-12 level for four years.
When Robin isn’t advising students, she can be found chasing her one-year-old daughter and spending time with family.
Jennifer GurleyAdministrative Assistant
Jen came to Marymount from Pitt Community College in Winterville, NC where she served as administrative assistant and English lab instructor. She holds a B.A. in Communications from Virginia Tech. A native of Chantilly, Jen is an avid equestrian.
