Mackenzie Blair Administrative Assistant

As administrative assistant at the Reston Center, Mackenzie will personally guide you to the appropriate resource or department. Having been with the Reston Center since June 2009, she supports the executive director and director of student services. She also serves as a liaison for the Reston Center with Main Campus and the Ballston Center in addition to assisting students and faculty.
Having previously supported an executive management team for a well-known hotel chain, Mackenzie has a diverse professional background. She is a certified group-exercise instructor and former personal trainer and manager of a local health club. Along with her passion for fitness, Mackenzie was also an I.T. administrator for a nationwide executive search firm.
Ben DavisAdmissions Coordinator

Ben provides prospective students with information about the various programs offered at the Reston Center. He also helps guide them through the application and enrollment processes and works with students on a wide array of admissions issues.
Before joining Marymount, Ben served as an admissions coordinator at the Arlington, Virginia campus of Argosy University. He also previously worked as an enrollment coordinator at Mountain State University. Ben earned his B.A. in mass communications from Emory & Henry College in May 2003 and his M.A. in sport and leisure management from East Tennessee State University in December 2004.
Larry Hoffman Executive Director

Larry manages the Reston Center and oversees outreach to area businesses, government agencies, and community organizations to develop partnerships for customized educational programs. He joined Marymount in May 2011 and is enthusiastic about expanding the ways that the Reston Center serves the community’s educational needs.
Previously, Larry was director of graduate marketing and admissions at McDaniel College. He also has broad experience in public broadcasting, serving as director of communications for Maryland Public Television and earlier, New Hampshire Public Television, as well as communications manager for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in Washington, DC. His bachelor’s degree is from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and he has a Master of Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina. Larry serves on the board of directors of the
Northern Virginia Workforce Development Board. He also is a member of the board of directors of the
Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce.
Alison Malloy Director of Student Services

Serving the community as the director of student services, Alison utilizes many skills and experiences she has gleaned during her time serving campuses across Virginia.
Alison came to Marymount from Sweet Briar College, where she served the campus as the director of residence life. Prior to that, Alison served the Virginia Tech community as an area coordinator, where she oversaw a residential population of 2,200 students and more than 70 staff members in nine residence halls. Alison also held the following positions at Tech: complex director, graduate hall director, and community advisor. Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts degree political science with a minor in economics from Hollins University. She has Master of Education from Virginia Tech in educational leadership and policy studies with a concentration in higher education and student affairs.
