All transfer students should plan to attend one of our Orientation, Advising, and Registration (OAR) sessions. The program will address concerns specific to transfer students, and offer you an opportunity to learn more about your academic program and meet with an advisor to discuss your schedule.
2012 Orientation, Registration, and Advising (OAR) Dates
- OAR 1: June 6
- OAR 2: July 9
- OAR 3: August 22 (reserved for those students depositing after July 8th)

About OAR
You will have the opportunity to speak with individuals from offices
around campus and attend sessions that will give you insight into
Marymount’s resources and services, academic community, and campus life.
All students also leave orientation with a completed course schedule
for your first semester.
Registering for Classes
Within a few weeks of submitting your deposit to Marymount, you will receive a transfer credit evaluation in the mail. This evaluation will show which credits transfer. If your transfer credit evaluation is not completed, you may not be able to register for classes, so it is very important to get this done as soon as possible.
Second-Degree Nursing Students: There is a customized Orientation experience for you. Once you have been accepted and completed your enrollment form and deposit, you will receive information from the Malek School of Health Professions regarding the advising, registration, and orientation process. If you have further questions after receiving this information, please contact Dr. Pamela Moreno, associate dean, Malek School of Health Professions.
