International students bring their own unique needs to Marymount. Because of this we provide both a university orientation program as well as International Student Check-in (ISC).
About ISC
At ISC we will address many different topics including cultural transition issues, immigration and legal responsibilities, employment, and banking. You will also have plenty of time for meeting other international and American students. There will be an ISC the week before classes start in August that all international students are required to attend.
About Orientation
The orientation program will provide information on Marymount’s resources and services, give you an opportunity to ask questions and interact with other students, as well as learn more about your academic program and meet with an advisor to discuss your schedule.
- First-Year Students
In addition to attending the ISC, first-year undergraduate students are required to attend either one of the Summer Orientation Sessions (SOS) held in June or our First Year Orientation Essentials session held in August (this session is only for students who are absolutely unable to attend in June). You must complete the online reservation for first year students to reserve your spot for ISC and the SOS you plan to attend.

- Transfer Students
In addition to attending the ISC, undergraduate transfer students are also required to attend the one of the Orientation, Advising, and Registration (OAR) sessions held in June, July or August (the August session is only for student who are absolutely unable to attend in June or July). You must complete the online reservation for transfer students to reserve your spot ISC and the OAR you plan to attend.

- Graduate Students
Graduate students should contact their School for more information about their specific academic orientation.
