Men’s Hoops Falls to Wesley on Last-Second Shot
Dover, Del. – Marymount University’s men’s basketball team dropped a 64-63 heartbreaker to Wesley in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday. The Saints took the lead with 1.3 seconds remaining before the Wolverines responded with the game-winner on the ensuing possession.
Three Saints scored in double-figures, led by junior John Magnani’s double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Freshmen Mac Kennedy and Reed Scott added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Wesley escaped with the win after knocking down the game-winner with less than a second left on the clock. The last-second shot negated a Magnani bucket with 1.3 second remaining that gave the Saints a 63-62 lead.
