Golf Opens Spring Slate Fifth at York
York, Pa. – Marymount University’s golf team placed fifth at the York Spring Golf Invitational to open the spring schedule on Monday afternoon. The Saints posted a team score of 317 to finish 10 strokes of the lead.
Peter Johns shot a 78 to lead the Saints and tie for 13th overall. Mark Curtis tied for 18th with a 79 while Brad Johnson and Nick Ryerson both carded 80s to tie for 21st. Isaac Reed rounded out Marymount’s participation with an 89 to tie for 48th.
Host York took home the win with a score of 307, followed by Messiah at 308, Dickinson at 312 and Stevenson with a 316. Penn State Berks finished sixth with a score of 326, York Tech was seventh with a 329, Rosemont was eighth at 342, Elizabethtown ninth with a 343 and Hood 10th at 368. Muhlenberg did not post a team score.
