Men’s Soccer Falls to Visiting Salisbury
Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team fell 2-0 to visiting Salisbury in Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday night. The Saints drop to 4-11 overall and 0-5 in league play.
Marymount managed three shots on goal against the Sea Gulls who currently receiving votes in the most recent NSCAA Top-25 poll. Carlos Sanchez, Frank Cadle and Franklin Garcia all tallied attempts with Sanchez’s point blank on target that resulted in SU’s only save of the night.
In goal, Marymount keepers Kurt Michaels and Logan Cropper combined for seven saves on the night. Michaels hauled in four in the opening half while Cropper added three in the second frame.
Marymount returns to action on Saturday as it closes out its home schedule against CAC newcomer Christopher Newport. Kick-off is set for 4 p.m. and fans can follow the action live by logging on to www.marymount.edu/athletics/mSoccer and selecting the “live stats” link.
