Women’s Soccer Drops CAC Contest at St. Mary’s
St. Mary’s City, Md. - Marymount University’s women’s soccer team fell 6-0 to St. Mary’s (Md.) in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon. The Saints drop to 5-5 overall and 0-4 in league play.
Nearly matching the Seahawks 15 shots with 11 of their own, the Saints only managed four shots on goal and couldn’t find the back of the net. Brianna Notarangelo, Danni Bankins, Kiki Weaver and Erin Harris all put attempts on the net for MU.
In goal, Marymount combined for three saves between keepers Victoria Wyand and Gaby Prellezo. Wyand pulled in one save in the first half and Prellezo hauled in two in the second frame.
Marymount returns to action on Saturday against Mary Washington in CAC play at Long Bridge Park. Kick-off is set for 1 pm and fans can follow the action live by logging on to www.marymount.edu/athletics/wSoccer and selecting the “live stats” link.
