Men’s Soccer Falls in CAC Action

Saturday, October 13, 2012
Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team fell 3-0 to visiting Wesley in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon. The Saints fall to 3-9-2 overall and 2-3 in league play.

A hard-fought contest that was much closer than the score indicated, Marymount had its chances but couldn’t find the back of the net. Max Banziger fired three shots against the Wolverines (4-8-2, 1-4 CAC), including a rocket that careened off the crossbar.

Mike Madigan collected three saves in goal for the Saints.

Marymount returns to action as it hosts non-conference foe Gettysburg to Long Bridge Park in its regular season home finale on Wednesday. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. and fans can follow the action live by logging on to www.marymount.edu/athletics/mSoccer and selecting the “live stats” link.
