Men’s Soccer Blanks Lancaster Bible

Saturday, October 23, 2010
Arlington, Va. – Marymount University’s men’s soccer team shutout visiting Lancaster Bible College 3-0 on Saturday night. The Saints have won three-straight and have won or tied seven of their last eight contests.

On ‘Senior Day’, the Saints (8-7-2) elder statesmen did their part to secure the victory. Nathan Blumenschein notched the game-winner in the 15th minute with an assist from fellow senior Philippe Millogo. Millogo scored a goal of his own in the 69th minute with an assist from Kjell Crooke.

Not letting the seniors have all the fun, Crooke tallied the final goal in the 77th minute with an assist from Chris Rodriguez.

Defensively, senior William Brahmstedt patrolled over 80 minutes of scoreless ball between the pipes while senior Graham Sutherland helped anchor a defensive line that allow just six shots and two shots on goal.

Marymount returns to action on Wednesday, October 27, at rival Mary Washington in the regular season finale.
