Women’s Volleyball Remains Undefeated in CAC Play
York, Pa. – Marymount University’s women’s volleyball team remained undefeated in Capital Athletic Conference play with a 3-2 (17-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-19, 15-11) victory on the road at York (Pa.) on Wednesday night. The Saints improve to 18-6 overall and 3-0 in league play.
Erin Allison paced the Saints with a double-double, notching 14 kills to go with 24 digs in the win. She was also one of four MU players to log a pair of service aces.
Morgan McAlpin and Jenn Forbes both added 11 kills on the night while Johanna Hummel chipped in 10.
Defensively, Michelle McCormick was credited with 13 digs while both Brianne Fitzpatrick and Cassidie Watson each had 12. Emily Shultis logged 11.
At the net, both McAlpin and Forbes rejected four blocks on the night. Forbed was credited with two solo blocks and two block assists while McAlpin notched one solo rejection and three block assists.
Marymount returns to action on Saturday as it travels to face John Jay and Rutgers-Camden in a tri-match hosted by the Scarlet Raptors.
